Kids in Need Foundation - Kids In Need Teacher Grants

Purpose: Studies show that teachers purchase as much as 75% of all classroom supplies for their students, spending on average $500 of their own money each year to help kids whose families just can’t afford the required materials. On the first day of school, students can be asked to bring as much as $100 worth of supplies for the school year.

Kids In Need Teacher Grants provide educators with funding to purchase the materials they need to conduct innovative projects in their classrooms. We help engage students in the learning process by supporting our most creative and important educational resource — our nation’s teachers.
Retailers, manufacturers, and local companies support the program by sponsoring grants for classroom project ideas submitted by certified preK-12 teachers.

Eligibility: Certified preK-12 teachers from all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the U.S.

Amount available per project: $100 to $500

Deadline for Applications to Funding Agency: Applications are available from July 15 to September 30, 2016.
