Purpose: The TMEA Executive Board approved $500,000 in funding for grants to benefit elementary music programs across the state. Funds must be used by elementary music teachers (PK–5) to purchase music, music equipment, instruments, instructional software, other music educational materials for use during this school year.
Eligibility: K-5 Teachers. Active TMEA Members with current 2013-2014 membership teaching elementary music in grades PreK–5.
Amount available per project: up to $800. Multiple teachers from a district can apply.
Deadline for HISD Intent to Submit form: October 15, 2013
Deadline for Applications to Funding Agency: October 15, 2013, by 5:00 p.m.
An Intent to Submit form must be completed and sent to the Office of Community Development in order to apply for any grant for Humble ISD. Please contact Adrianne Holmes at the Office of Community Development at 281-641-8141 for more information.
