National Gardening Association - All About the Fruit and Veggies Grants Program

Purpose: Through The Sip To Support A Garden™ Program, schools and community gardens can earn credits that can be applied against the purchase of essential gardening equipment suitable for any age from The National Gardening Association’s Gardening With Kids Catalog. Participation is easy: sign up your school garden or organization on-line today!

Eligibility: It’s All About the Fruit and Veggies Grant program is open to schools, community organizations, and non-profit programs in the United States gardening with at least 15 children between the ages of 3 and 18. Schools must be located within a 50 mile radius of a Jamba Juice store. Visit the Jamba Juice website to find out if there is a Jamba Juice near you. http://www.jambajuice.com/

Other Information: All applicants are required to complete a Garden Registry profile. Please complete the Garden Registry Profile prior to beginning the grant application process. If you have already completed the Garden Registry profile, check to see your school or program’s ID number located at the top left hand corner.
1. Search for your school in the Garden Registry to find your ID number.
2. Can’t find your program? Create a Garden Registry profile.
3. Prepare to provide basic information about your program and two to three photos in jpeg format.

Amount available per project: $500.00

Deadline for HISD Intent to Submit form: One to two weeks before deadline to Funding Agency.

Deadline for Applications to Funding Agency: February 18, 2013

An Intent to Submit form must be completed and sent to the Office of Community Development in order to apply for any grant for Humble ISD. Please contact Adrianne Holmes at the Office of Community Development at 281-641-8141 for more information.
