Dollar General Youth Literacy Grants

Purpose: Dollar General Literacy Foundation Youth Literacy Grants provide funding to schools, public libraries, and nonprofit organizations to help students who are below grade level or experiencing difficulty reading.

Grant funding is provided to assist in the following areas:
1.  Implementing new or expanding existing literacy programs
2.  Purchasing new technology or equipment to support literacy initiatives
3.  Purchasing books, materials or software for literacy programs

Eligibility: A K-12 Private or Public School

Amount available per project: $4,000

Deadline for HISD Intent to Submit form: Two weeks before grant submission date to Funding Agency.

Deadline for Applications to Funding Agency: May 23, 2013

An Intent to Submit form must be completed and sent to the Office of Community Development in order to apply for any grant for Humble ISD. Please contact Adrianne Holmes at the Office of Community Development at 281-641-8141 for more information.
