Responsible Sports, a philanthropic program of insurance company Liberty Mutual, is accepting applications from youth sports organizations in the United States to participate in its Responsible Sports Community Grant program. The Responsible Sports Community Grants program is designed to reward responsible youth sports clubs and organizations with one of fifteen $2,500 grants. To participate in the program, league administrators must first register their youth sports organization at the Responsible Sports Web site.
Eligibility: To be eligible for a grant, organizations must be a registered nonprofit traditional youth sport organization or school athletic program recognized by the governing bodies of their sport(s) and operating in one of the fifty states of the United States or the District of Columbia. Eligible organizations include nonprofit youth sports teams or organizations, recreational departments, and high school athletic teams. Organizations must serve the community at large and must be open to the general public.
Amount available per project: $2,500
Deadline for HISD Intent to Submit form: November 16, 2012
Deadline for quiz completions to Funding Agency: November 30, 2012
