Project Learning Tree GreenSchools! Grants

Project Learning Tree® (PLT), a national environmental education program, has GreenWorks! Grants of up to $3,000 available to schools and teachers for environmental service-learning projects that link classroom learning to the real world. To help guide students in recommending an action project they would like to implement a their school, five PLT GreenSchools! investigations provide the tools and resources for students to investigate their school site, energy use, water, waste and recycling practices, and implement action projects to create a more green and healthy learning environment -- and save their school money.

Eligibility: Educators and their students in grades PreK-12.

Amount available per project: $1,000 to 3,000.00

Deadline for HISD Intent to Submit form: September 15, 2012

Deadline for Applications to funding agency: September 30, 2012

An Intent to Submit form must be completed and sent to the Office of Community Development in order to apply for any grant for Humble ISD. Please contact Adrianne Holmes at the Office of Community Development at 281-641-8141 for more information.
