SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation Fund

Purpose:   The SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation Fund (SWBGCF) makes grants in four priority areas: conservation education, species research, habitat protection, and animal rescue and rehabilitation.

Within the area of conservation education, funding priorities include the following:
  • Nature deficit disorder: encouraging youth to spend time outdoors connecting with nature, and understanding the value of nature and mechanisms for sustainability.
  • Leadership development: identifying potential conservation leaders and developing their leadership skills and knowledge.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations; schools, etc. The fund works with organizations to support programs that are science-based, solution-driven, and community-oriented. Each applicants is required to create a login and the application must be completed online.

Amount available per project:
   Awards range from $5,000 to $25,000.

Deadline for Applications to Funding Agency: Applications are due November 30 and April 30, annually.
