Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries

Purpose: The mission of the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries is to provide funds to our Nation’s neediest schools so they can extend, update, and diversify the book and print collections in their libraries with the goal of encouraging students to develop a love of reading and learning.

Eligibility: Eligible applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

• are established schools (in operation for a minimum of one (1) year;
• with economic need (85% of the school’s student population must qualify for free/reduced lunch);
• an existing designated library;
• paid library staff; and
• a first time recipient of this opportunity.

Amount available per project:   up to $7,000

Deadline for Applications to Funding Agency:  December 12, 2016 (midnight)
