Purpose: Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation funds projects that support kindergarten through grade 12 public and charter education and community improvement. Within these areas, the foundation is primarily committed to supporting projects that have the greatest impact on its communities and align with Lowe’s core business of home improvement. Community Partners Grants help communities by providing monetary assistance for support of high-need projects such as building renovations or upgrades, grounds improvement, technology upgrades, and safety improvements.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants are nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations and public agencies serving communities in which Lowe's operates stores or distribution centers. Interested applicants are required to take a short eligibility test. Applications are accepted online.
Amount available per project: Awards range from $2,000 to $100,000. Most awards range from $10,000 to $25,000.
Deadline for Applications to Funding Agency:
• Spring cycle applications are accepted March 21 through May 23, 2016.
• Fall cycle applications are accepted July 1 through August 26, 2016.
