Academic Enrichment Grants

Purpose: The McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation offers Academic Enrichment Grants designed to develop in-class and extra-curricular programs that improve student learning. The Foundation considers proposals that foster understanding, deepen students’ knowledge, and provide opportunities to expand awareness of the world around them.  The Academic Enrichment Grants provide funding for programs that nurture the intellectual, artistic and creative abilities of children from low-income households.

Eligibility: To be eligible to apply, you must: 1) be employed by schools or non-profit organizations (e.g. community centers, museums, etc.);  2) have the background and experience to complete the project successfully;  3) have direct and regular contact with students in grades pre-k to 12;  4) work with students from low-income households; and 5) be willing to work in collaboration with the Foundation

Amount available per project: up to $10,000 per year for a maximum of 3 years.

Deadline for HISD Intent to Submit form: April 15, 2014

Deadline for Applications to Funding Agency: April 15, 2014 (online application)

An Intent to Submit form must be completed and sent to the Office of Community Development in order to apply for any grant for Humble ISD. Please contact Adrianne Holmes at the Office of Community Development at 281-641-8141 for more information.
