American Library Association - BWI Summer Reading Program Grant

Purpose: This grant is designed to encourage outstanding summer reading programs by providing financial assistance, while recognizing ALSC members for outstanding program development. The applicant must plan and present an outline for a theme-based summer reading program in a public library. The program must be open to all children (birth -14 years). The committee also encourages innovative proposals involving children with physical or mental disabilities.

Eligibility: Public School, Private School, Higher Education, Other

Amount available per project: $3,000.00

Deadline for HISD Intent to Submit form: 1 week before submission

Deadline for Applications to Funding Agency: December 1, 2012

An Intent to Submit form must be completed and sent to the Office of Community Development in order to apply for any grant for Humble ISD. Please contact Adrianne Holmes at the Office of Community Development at 281-641-8141 for more information.
